Natural Change (originally formed in 1992 as Change of Pace) is a premier R&B, jazz, soul, and funk ensemble in the the Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW), Texas area.

 

Over decades of performing, Natural Change has developed a reputation for delivering “concert-style” live shows that blend smooth grooves, emotive vocals, and tight instrumentation.  Their musical repertoire mixes old-school and new-school R&B, jazz influences, soulful ballads, and rhythmic funk to engage audiences of all ages.

 

Members & Sound

  • Tony Blaine — lead vocals, keyboard & keyboard bass; as frontman, he carries much of the band’s sonic identity.

  • Paul Rogers — saxophonist, delivering expressive solos and melodic support.

  • Rob Abbs — guitarist, contributing soulful riffs and harmonic depth across genres.

  • Byron Fuller — drummer, driving the rhythmic backbone, fusing elements of R&B, jazz, and funk.

Natural Change offers polished, professional shows suitable for nightclubs, lounges, festivals, private events, and concert settings across greater Dallas–Fort Worth.  They’ve played at venues such as Legends Bar & Grill (Duncanville), Soul Jazz Thursdays at Sandaga 813 (Dallas), and Club Ritzy (Fort Worth) among others.

 

Their performances are designed to evoke emotion, encourage dancing, and maintain an intimate yet elevated feel—whether through sultry ballads or upbeat groove numbers.
